Terms
These terms govern use of the Sceáwian website and the basis on which the practice accepts engagements.
Nature of the site
The Sceáwian website is provided for general information about the practice. Nothing on the site constitutes an offer to perform work, legal advice, or a representation as to the outcome of any matter.
No engagement without writing
An engagement of Sceáwian is created only by a written engagement executed by an authorised representative of the practice, following conflict-check and scoping. Submission of the enquiry form does not create an engagement.
Lawful methods
Sceáwian conducts all work under a written lawful-methods policy. We decline instructions that would require unlawful conduct, breach of confidence, breach of privacy, or breach of professional or regulatory obligation.
Licensing
Licensed investigation and drone activities are conducted under the authorisations applicable to the jurisdiction of the work. We do not represent that we hold licences or authorisations we do not, in fact, hold.
Conflict of interest
Every prospective engagement is checked for conflict against current and prior matters. We may decline an engagement without stating a reason.
Chain of custody
Evidence collected in the course of an engagement is handled under documented chain-of-custody controls. Retention and destruction are governed by written policy.
Confidentiality
Client identity, brief, work-product and outcomes are held in confidence and disclosed only where authorised in writing or required by law.
Intellectual property
Content on this site is the property of Sceáwian Pty Ltd. No part may be reproduced without written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sceáwian's liability arising from use of this site is excluded. Liability arising from an engagement is governed by that engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state of engagement.
